Youth soccer players on a floodlit field at night

Play till dark.

Practice plans, gear guides, and recovery routines for youth soccer & baseball families — from a coach-parent who lives it.

Remember playing until the streetlights came on? One more goal, one more at-bat, five more minutes that somehow lasted an hour. That’s why this site exists — because now it’s our kids out there, and we get to watch it happen all over again.

We Play Till Dark is written by a coach-parent who lives this: both kids play soccer and baseball, the calendar is a mosaic of practices and games, and most weeknights end with cleats by the door and grass on the kitchen floor. Everything here is practical, specific, and written for the adults who make youth sports run — the volunteer coaches, the carpool drivers, the folding-chair faithful. And underneath all of it is one belief: who the kids are becoming matters more than what the scoreboard says.

No hype, no ten-thousand-word listicles, no pretending a rec-league Tuesday is the World Cup final. Just practice plans, gear guides, and routines from one sports family to another.
